The narrow streets and alleys of the old village are the
typically Ligurian "carruggi". An ancient Roman church
of the 12th century is one of the oldest monuments of
the Ligurian hinterland.
The village is surrounded by centuries-old olive-trees
and old stone walls. In one day you can see Monte Carlo
(60km), or the Aquarium of Genova (100km) which is the
biggest in Europe, or the famous Grotte of Toirano, or
the very nice beaches of the Balzi Rossi with important
archeological finds, or Villa Hanbury with its famous
garden, and of course lots of other very beautiful and
interesting places and villages.
